I've worked on many packaging projects, but very few of them have actually used designs I created. Instead, I have found that a lot of times the company already has an idea for their packaging and comes to the company I work for for execution and production only.
When I first started working after I finished college, I wanted to concentrate mainly on packaging. I would still love to do that if I could work for one of the companies to whom people go for innovative ideas for their product packaging.
